Abstract

The rapid advancement in Internet of Things (IoT) technology has revolutionized the way we interact with our living environments, particularly in the realm of smart home automation. However, the scalability and efficiency of IoT systems remain significant challenges. This paper presents a cloud-integrated IoT architecture for smart home automation that leverages AWS services and edge computing to address these challenges. The proposed architecture ensures realtime data processing, reduced latency, and enhanced security, making it a robust solution for large-scale smart home deployments. We detail the design, implementation, and performance evaluation of the architecture, highlighting its scalability and efficiency. The results demonstrate that the proposed approach significantly improves the responsiveness and reliability of smart home systems
